Yesterday was my first 900 round and I scored 711 / 900. I'm pretty happy about that since it was my first time shooting at the 45 meter distance.

Shawn is going to put me on a clicker the next time I see him. And I don't know whether to be excited or scared about that.

I never wore hats because I couldn't figure out how to shoot with them.  But, the sun had come out and mom and a few of the other archers convinced me to wear one.  Thank you to Katie Roth for lending me her Carbon Express visor and giving me tips on how to shoot with a hat on :)

It was really windy.  But I was happy that we didn't have to shoot in the rain.  We had a storm in the morning that ended the minute we had to start.  Is that luck or what?!  :)

My Challenge for Stephen Amell

So here is my video of me challenging Stephen Amell from Arrow.  Please share it and maybe he will see it and accept.  It's for a good cause that I strongly support.  You can also check out Ryli's Shooting For a Cause and CAFAC for more info.

I finally got in some outdoor Target practice with my coach Shawn.  We worked on my form starting with my stance and hips.  Once I got that down, we worked on my grip.  Also, instead of raising my bow to my sight mark, I'm lowering it.  It's a lot easier, and Shawn says that will help when I start using my clicker.  I was able to practice shooting from 45 meters.

Next week I shoot my first Canadian 900.  My distances are 45m, 35m and 25m on a 122cm Target.  I've never shot the Canadian 900 before, so I will set a new Personal Best to start from when I shoot Target outdoors next year.  My goal for next week is to at least break 500.  I think that's a great starting point since this is my first year shooting at the longer distances.

My coach Shawn, working with me on my form.  He also shoots recurve.

Watching to see where my arrow went so we can make the proper adjustments to my sight.  This is where I was shooting from 45 meters.

I celebrated my 13th birthday on Thursday.  I went to Fire Station #1.  They gave me this pin and asked me if I would be interested in being the Anti-Bullying Ambassador for the LPFFA.  I should find out soon if I get to have this privilege.

It was a great birthday.
