May 1, 2016

April was a busy month for me. We had our Thames Valley District High School tournaments each Wednesday, and I had TOP selection camp to prepare for.  I attended TOP last weekend, and should know by the end of May if I made the cut.

Last week, I started strength training with my personal trainer. We had kept my training sessions easy, because of my shooting schedule.  I also had a session with my sports psychologist to catch up on the months activities, and to do some goal setting. Our next session will be more working on boosting my confidence and trusting my shots.

This month, I'll be shooting double 720's for Canada Ranking and competing at OFSAA representing CCH :)

Hamilton, making sure I was doing my side plank correctly for our fitness testing at TOP selection camp.  Hamilton is on the road to RIO and you'll probably see him proudly wearing Canadian colours representing our country!! :) Good Luck Hamilton!! :)

Working on my grip and stability using my core while pulling back weight (30lbs each arm).

 Battle Ropes........

 Cool down with stretching.

Writing down each exercise I do each day in my day planner. Helps me keep track of my progress.

Short video of some of the exercises from my workout last week. Paul is an amazing trainer.  If you're in the London area, you should definitely check him out at PT Squared .
